The Beginning and History
Story of the Harrison's
The Harrison family started out in Kingston, Jamaica in 1918 just after the first world war, working legally in a business named 'Harrison Laundrettes', it was run by Jon and Avery Harrison. They were actually very lucky to of kept the business as in 1907, as the city of Kingston was destroyed by an earthquake leaving thousands unemployed and nowhere to go. It was an extremely successful business regarding the situations they faced, and they would have been labelled 'middle-class' back in the day. However the family started properly when Marley A. Harrison was born (their first son) in 1925. As soon as they had him, everything started to become more costly and times were hard. Though, as he grew up he still got his full education and by the time he had finished schooling in 1941, the second world war broke out. Worryingly, they began forcing young men from Jamaica to help with the war effort and become soldiers, thus he had no choice. Unluckily for him, he was picked amongst the 500 that were sent off to the Front Line after some training.
Luckily he had got back alive, most men did not return to their families and it was a sad time for everyone in Kingston and Montego Bay. Though, the only bonus side is that he come back with a wage, a wage that could allow him to travel to the Americas with no strings attached. He left a little money behind and set off for New York to earn his fortune, and with his intellectual capability he figured he would do quite well. When he arrived in New York, he did handyman jobs for minimum wage, and this went on for 4 whole years. He knew something wasn't right and he was expecting more from life. A businessman one day walked into his little shop, and asked for a worker who was physically able, he opted for it. This is when the story began, when the path of organized crime began. He became the manager of this big-time corporation, making absolute fortunes and working in Casino's with a family known as 'The Bensons'.
Later on after 20 years of hard-work with the Bensons, the Casino was eventually shut down due to the death of Jonathan P. Benson (the official property owner). However, Marley Harrison did not fret, he new that he was rich enough to start his own line of work. He searched all over New York city for 'able-workers', and people were accepting it willingly just as he did. So, in 1968 Harrison Industries was formed. They were actually a highly known trucking company and on the illegal side they were pushing out weapons, and early-forms of cocaine. It was hidden amongst the legal packages that they delivered, and was a real money earner. However in 1971 Marley met a young woman, and they got married in 1972, and then a year after that they had a child. This child was Benjamin Harrison, however they did not want him to be raised in New York. Since the mother and father originated from Jamaica they wanted him to grow up there too, which is when Marley moved back over, so that he could also see his family. He had the same upbringing as Marley and tried not to get him involved in his crimes, he let a business operative run his trucking company back in New York so that he could spend more time with his family.
Unfortunately, in 1982 Marley Harrison, father of Benjamin had died of unknown causes, leaving the business to slowly collapse. Benjamin was very attached to his mother and father, like any other regular child would be, and the loss of his father caused him to breakdown during his education, leaving him with quite bad grades. However this did not stop his desire to follow in his fathers footsteps, he was a smart kid, his mother said he got it from his father. Ironically, she was right, because he left for New York in 1991 and met with a man who formally knew about his father's corporation. Curtis Benson, a relative to the Benson family who were too very rich, decided to start making money together. They work legally together for about one year until they bumped into a man who knew the city inside out. He said to them, that what they are looking for is the cannabis business, growing and selling it as they go. Benson and Harrison were both intrigued and wanted to know more, and they began gathering workers. Their business got them involved with some big fish, and they got too well known within the region, and realised that they had got themselves involved with some dangerous people. So, in 2014 they decided to move to San Andreas, Fort Carson to start up again in a smaller business. However, Benson got called back to New York by his family, and Benson left some of his money with Harrison.
It was simply driving Harrison insane that he could not get back into the business that his father Marley Harrison pushed his way into, he wanted to be successful just like him. So it went on and on, weeks went by where he was just sitting around thinking about what he could do. He had the money, but he was lacking power. His father always told him “that most men get contorted by wealth, but those with vision can turn wealth into power”.
Later on, one evening. He bumped into a couple of men, who were looking for jobs. He knew that this was his time to strike, and gave them what they wanted. A job, and the promise of Wealth, Power and Respect. In fact, what any man would want. This was when Harrison Industries was reformed.
